Position overview:

As a Sourcing Support Analyst at you will play a crucial role in driving the success and growth of our organization. This position requires flexibility to handle ad-hoc projects as well as a regular stream of sourcing work. In this position, you will collaborate with various teams, including Sourcing, Sales, Quality and Engineering to ensure effective project delivery and alignment with our strategic objectives. You will be part of the Strategic Sourcing Team and report to the Sr. Strategic Sourcing Manager, with functional responsibilities overseen by a Senior Sourcing Manager responsible for a spend category. Responsibilities:

The Sourcing Support Analyst will have two primary areas of responsibility:

1. Support for Sr. Sourcing Managers (US) within a specific spend category

• Assist with projects as defined by the Sr. Sourcing Manager
• Communicate with suppliers about schedules, quotations, and deliveries.
• Expedite shipments on behalf of the Supply Chain organization.
• Assist with problem resolution and financial recovery for defective goods.
• Key in data for our various IT systems

2. Preparation and execution of Strategic Sourcing tenders

• Continuing workflow of spend analysis and quotation (rotating categories)
• Obtain prints and relevant specifications for parts chosen to tender.
• Research new and existing vendors for the total vendor pool.
• Key in data for quotation and issue RFQ
• Evaluate results and prepare recommendations.
• Present outcomes to management as required.

Skills and Qualifications:

• You will thrive working with us if you have the following.
• B.A. / B.S. Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or other relevant degree.
• 2+ years experience in a Supply Chain, Purchasing or Procurement position that required tendering products for market testing and evaluation of the results.
• Strong analytical skills with a high degree of business acumen.
• Experience with logistics including international procurement.
• Familiarity with tariff structures and understanding how to apply them to total cost.
• Disciplined and methodical approach
• Microsoft Excel skills to handle large data sets and perform various analyses (NPV, ROI, Total Cost evaluations) and present them in concise form for management approval.
• Fastener industry experience is a strong plus.
• Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Adaptability to shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
• Comfort in a multi-cultural environment with colleagues from various disciplines.
• A self-starter attitude
• Strong written and oral communication skills
