Job Description

Haskoning is seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Engineers to support our Maritime related projects in India. The position is full-time and based in Mumbai, and we are looking good hands on experience in HV/MV Power Systems.

What will you do

As a part of a larger Global Capability Centre delivering key Electrical infrastructure design activities, you will be a key player in designing smart, sustainable and modern power systems on international maritime projects. Our Projects are technically complex and multi-dimensional, involving various implementing agencies and stakeholders. It includes all aspects of power distribution planning, optimization, control and monitoring.

The Senior Electrical Engineer will play a key role in the technical and operational management of project delivery with our multidisciplinary team of international experts. The role also requires close coordination and collaboration with the Team, client, implementing agencies, and other key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities on the project

Independently design carry out calculations for electrical equipment like transformers, DG sets, Switchgear, load and cables (HVLV) scheduling, fault and earthing studies, lightening protection, grounding, AC/DC UPS, NGR and capacitor sizing.
Preparation of single line diagrams, sub-station and electrical layouts.
Interfacing with SCADA systems, Mech ELV and control systems design
Work on different stages (FEED, Tender Construction stage detailed design) of projects
Experience in using electrical design software like ETAP, AMTEC, REVIT (MEP), SKM, DIALUX/RELUX/CALCULUX
Lead the team in reviewing the calculations and mentoring them.
Reconstruction of switchgear upto 33kV and modifications of busbars and auxiliary equipment.
Modelling and studies for load flow, short circuit, arc flash and motor starting
Preparation of specifications and cost sheets for transformers, switchgear and power systems equipments
Electrical functional safety and risk assessment including hazardous area zoning, HAZID and HAZOP studies
Knowledge of BIS, BS, IEC, IEEE, CEA, IE, NFPA, NBC and other regulatory standards.
Coordinate with site team in clarifying any technical queries for the PMC projects.
Any other related work as per the instructions of Line Manager/Project Manager

What you bring

A full-time bachelor s degree in electrical engineering. Master s degree in Power Systems engineering will be an advantage.
Minimum of 8-12 years of relevant professional experience in HV/MV Power Systems. Maritime experience will be an advantage.
