Role Overview The L2 Senior Manager Direct Counselling will lead and manage a team of counsellors and team leaders and responsible for guiding students through the study abroad journey.
This individual will drive counselling excellence, conversion efficiency, and revenue growth by ensuring superior student experience, goal alignment, and performance management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a high-performing team of counsellors, ensuring achievement of monthly and quarterly enrolment targets.
- Monitor and optimize the counselling funnel — from lead qualification to final enrollment.
- Conduct regular training and performance reviews to enhance counsellor effectiveness and communication quality.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, inside sales, and partnerships teams to ensure a steady flow of quality leads.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve student experience and conversion rates.
- Track and report team performance metrics, providing actionable insights to leadership.
- Drive process excellence and compliance with counselling quality standards.
- Represent the vertical in leadership discussions, contributing to business planning and growth strategy.
Requirements
- Experience: 6-8 years of experience in counselling, sales, or customer success; at least 3+ years in a team leadership role.
- Industry Preference: EdTech, Overseas Education, or Higher Education domain.
- Strong understanding of international education processes (application, visa, admissions).
- Excellent people management, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Data-driven mindset with proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Lead squared, Salesforce, etc.).
