Job Description

This role is responsible for identifying, evaluating, testing new telecom and IP Network products Testing new equipment and applications as per business and NPI team requirements like Broadband GPON IP / Packet (L2/L3 Switch, Access Router, Ethernet/ E1 Extenders, carrier equipment s like Core NE etc.) Wi-Fi Scripting and automation. Preparation of test procedures updating in collaboration with NPI / Operations team Creating Test reports Vendor node evaluation and conformance testing against Network deployment requirements Inter-vendor vs. Inter-operability testing Lab support for live Network implementation Simulating & analysing field issues on lab setup jointly with Operations/ TAC team Process engineering and Preparing Whitepapers on new technologies Project Management Responsible for Test Plan Management deliverables - Time, cost, resources, quality and risk with respect to BB/Enterprise/Backbone/ Packet / Tx Projects Ensure relationship and alignment of 3rd party vendors, partners, and collaboration with partners to meet the project objectives as per organisational objectives Team Management Ensure a culture of innovation and ownership to meet organisational objectives. General Third Party Management - Ensure healthy interaction with vendors, and teams Relationship Management - Develop and manage a strong relationship with internal/external stake-holders to improve SLA and QOS for new services and products Compliance - Responsible for regulatory compliance and security of information. Quality Management - Manage Quality of Service for the equipments tested Work with peer functional managers, Senior management teams to ensure continued alignment towards organisation needs and goals. Essential Attributes Product knowledge Understanding of Technology and Product. : IP Network Cloud implementation Scripting- Shell, Pytho In depth knowledge of Routing Protocols: RIP, IS -IS, OSPF, BGP. Understanding of advanced and emerging technologies like MPLS, L3-VPN, Traffic Engineering, QoS and Multicasting In depth Application experience like AAA, DHCP, Web Servers, Databases, WiFi etc. In depth knowledge of Layer 2 protocols like VLAN, STP, RSTP,MSTP, LACP,802.1p, 802.1ag,QOS. Knowledge on Multicasting protocols like IGMP, PIM with Hands on experience on MPLS (MPLS-IP/MPLS-TP). Familiar with standard practices like SDLC Cyber Security Business knowledge: In-depth understanding routing, BPR Strong analytical and Operations skills Team management and development skills Strong MIS and reporting skills Qualifications B.E. / B. tech in Electronics or Electronics and telecommunication. CCNA/RHEL/ Database Certifications
