Sr. Project Engineer

Job Description

Develop and implement control system architectures and detailed design specifications.
Perform system integration and testing to ensure reliable and efficient operation of automation systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical and electrical engineers, project managers, and external clients to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Provide technical support and training to clients and internal teams on Siemens Automation products and solutions.
Conduct site assessments, field service, and commissioning activities.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Maintain thorough documentation of systems, configurations, and project progress.

Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Electrical Electronics / ETC / Instrumentation / IC / Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation with a focus on Siemens Automation products.
Proficiency in programming S7 series PLCs, particularly S7-400/S7-400H controllers.
Proficiency in Siemens PLC programming languages (e.g., Ladder Logic, FBD, SCL).
In-depth knowledge of Siemens PCS7 DCS hardware configuration, including AS (Automation Systems), OS (Operator Systems), and ES (Engineering Stations).
Experience with network configurations and industrial communication protocols (Profibus, Profinet, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, OPC, etc.).
Strong understanding of industrial networking and cybersecurity practices.
Familiarity with safety instrumented systems (SIS) and knowledge of industry standards such as IEC 61511.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
