This role involves collaborating with designers, suppliers, and manufacturing teams to ensure that products meet quality standards, are produced on schedule, and align with the companys merchandising strategy. Key Responsibilities: Production Planning: Develop and manage production timelines and schedules to ensure timely delivery of retail products. Coordinate with design and development teams to understand product specifications, materials, and production requirements. Supplier and Vendor Management: Identify and work with suppliers and manufacturers to source materials and production services. Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors to ensure cost-effective and high-quality production. Monitor vendor performance and address any issues related to product quality, delivery, or compliance. Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure that products meet the companys standards and specifications. Conduct inspections and oversee testing of materials and finished products to identify and resolve quality issues. Cost Management: Monitor production costs and work within budget constraints. Analyze cost breakdowns and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising product quality. Collaboration and Communication: Act as the main point of contact between the design, production, and merchandising teams. Facilitate clear communication to ensure alignment on product development and production goals. Provide regular updates on production status, potential delays, and any issues that may impact product delivery. Inventory and Supply Chain Management: Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock while minimizing excess. Coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure smooth logistics and distribution of finished products. Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in the production process. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to apply innovative strategies. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production schedules, costs, and vendor performance. Generate reports on production metrics and provide insights to senior management. Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Relevant certifications or advanced degrees are a plus.
