Job Title: Senior Telecommunications Engineer Location: India Experience: 6+ Years Category: Telecommunications Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Telecommunications Engineer with expertise in network protocols, VoIP, and wireless technologies. The ideal candidate will have over 6 years of experience in telecommunications, focusing on network design, optimization, and troubleshooting. This role will involve working with advanced communication technologies to ensure seamless connectivity, high-performance network services, and the implementation of new solutions within a complex telecommunications environment. Key Responsibilities: Network Protocols: Design, implement, and optimize network protocols to ensure seamless data transmission and connectivity across telecommunication networks. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to network performance, including latency, packet loss, and connectivity failures. Work with different types of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, MPLS, BGP) to ensure the proper functioning of network systems. VoIP Systems: Design, configure, and manage VoIP (Voice over IP) infrastructure, including PBX, SIP trunking, and call routing systems. Troubleshoot and resolve VoIP-related issues, including call quality, network interference, and system malfunctions. Implement and optimize QoS (Quality of Service) for VoIP systems to maintain call clarity and reduce latency. Wireless Technologies: Design, implement, and manage wireless communication systems, including Wi-Fi, LTE, and 5G networks. Perform wireless network planning, optimization, and troubleshooting to ensure reliable and high-performance wireless communication. Assess the latest wireless technology trends (e.g., Wi-Fi 6, 5G) and recommend upgrades or new technologies that improve service delivery. Network Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor network performance using advanced diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve issues proactively. Optimize network resources for maximum performance, minimizing downtime and ensuring efficient traffic management. Implement load balancing, traffic shaping, and other network optimization techniques. Collaboration and Documentation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, and support) to ensure network configurations align with business needs and service requirements. Maintain detailed documentation of network designs, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for future reference and compliance. Provide technical support and training to junior engineers and support staff regarding VoIP, wireless technologies, and network protocols. Research and Development: Stay updated with the latest advancements in network protocols, VoIP systems, and wireless communication technologies. Evaluate new technologies and recommend their adoption where applicable to improve network performance, security, or functionality. Participate in pilot testing and research for deploying new network solutions or technologies. Key Skills and Competencies: Network Protocols: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, MPLS, BGP). VoIP Systems: Expertise in configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing VoIP systems and related technologies (SIP, PBX, QoS). Wireless Technologies: Proficiency in designing, configuring, and troubleshooting wireless networks (Wi-Fi, LTE, 5G, etc.). Network Optimization: Ability to optimize networks for maximum performance and efficiency, including troubleshooting latency and packet loss. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex network issues. Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and support. Documentation: Strong documentation skills to maintain accurate network configurations and troubleshooting logs. Technical Knowledge: Staying current with the latest developments in telecommunications, VoIP, and wireless technologies. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a related field. 6+ years of experience in telecommunications with a focus on network protocols, VoIP, and wireless technologies. Hands-on experience with network configuration, performance monitoring, and optimization tools. Certification in telecommunications technologies (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, VoIP certifications) is a plus.
