Senior Reservoir Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking Sr. Reservoir Engineer to support reservoir simulation and field development activities. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in thermal reservoir modeling; at a minimum, strong black oil simulation experience is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct reservoir simulation studies using thermal and/or black oil models.
• Build, calibrate, and validate dynamic reservoir models for performance forecasting.
• Evaluate recovery processes including thermal methods (e.g., steam injection, in-situ combustion) and conventional methods.
• Integrate geological, petrophysical, and production data to support development planning.
• Analyze reservoir performance and provide recommendations for optimization.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including geology, drilling, production, and surface engineering.
• Prepare technical reports, simulation outputs, and presentations for project stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, or related field.
• Must have 510 years of experience in reservoir simulation and engineering.
• Experience in thermal reservoir simulation (e.g., CMG-STARS) preferred.
• Must have Minimum requirement: Proficiency in black oil simulation.
• Familiarity with reservoir management and enhanced recovery processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
