Job Description

Managing the design activities and design support team from the India regional office Developing and building design support from India for local market, Middle East and other SEA Regions Working directly with customers and regional sales managers in all regions Guiding and advising clients on project direction and conclusion both face to face and via video call meetings for all regions. Developing relationships with key clients in India, and ME regions Communication back to design studio and P&E Managing workflow to studio via Project management system - Genesis Create custom design work in close relationship with Royal Thai Sales managers based in India and Middle East Training and managing team of support designers for these regions Communicate clearly with the BKK design studio team to effectively conclude projects through to manufacture Work closely with the Planning and Estimation team to develop a clear understanding of plans, scale, and seaming diagrams, to developing design solutions accordingly. Develop finished patterns of various scales and installation types while working within approved production perimeters for various carpet construction types Produce proficiently technical and creative custom design work using propriety Quantum design software. Clean up, re-colour and re-size existing design work to fit the needs of each project requirement Communicate effectively with Sales personnel, Project Managers, Customer Service, and Planning & Estimation in order to manage and meet project requirements in a proficient manner Use independent judgment in completing tasks, meeting deadlines and managing priorities Job Requirement: A minimum of 5 years design experience Fluent in English People management experience is preferred Bachelors degree required; degree in textile design or related field is preferred Knowledge of Axminster and hand-tufted carpet construction is highly preferable Must be creative, technically mindful, and possess an understanding of repeat pattern, scale, and colour The ability to manage multiple deadline-based projects and tasks within very tight schedules Must be skilled in the use of design software programs, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Ned Graphics, APSO, AutoCAD, SketchUp etc. Effective communication and organisational skills Must be a team player and able to multi-task Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google products All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
