Key Responsibilities

Develop new business opportunities and generate leads through market research, customer visits, references, cold calling, and other sales channels.
Visit existing and prospective customers to understand their technical and commercial requirements.

Understand the customer's application, product, packaging process, specifications, and operational requirements.

Recommend suitable products/packaging solutions based on customer requirements.
Conduct technical discussions, product presentations, and demonstrations with customers.
Prepare technical and commercial quotations in coordination with the relevant internal teams.
Follow up on enquiries, quotations, samples, trials, and commercial negotiations.
Coordinate product trials and obtain customer feedback for further improvement.
Work closely with production, engineering, quality, dispatch, and management teams to ensure customer requirements are fulfilled.
Provide technical clarification to customers regarding product specifications, application, performance, and suitability.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to generate repeat business and additional sales opportunities.
Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling of products and solutions.
Monitor competitor products, pricing, market developments, and customer requirements.
Maintain accurate records of enquiries, quotations, customer visits, follow-ups, and orders.
Ensure timely follow-up for outstanding payments in coordination with the accounts team.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Prepare regular sales reports and provide updates to management regarding market activity, opportunities, and challenges. Technical Responsibilities
Understand product specifications, dimensions, materials, performance requirements, and applications.
Analyze customer requirements and translate them into appropriate product specifications.
Assist customers in selecting the most suitable packaging solution for their application.
Coordinate with the technical/production team for customized requirements.
Support customers during product trials and implementation.
Identify technical issues and coordinate with internal teams for appropriate solutions.
Maintain awareness of new products, technologies, and developments in the packaging industry.

Required Skills

Good technical and analytical ability.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Good negotiation and customer-handling skills.
Ability to understand technical drawings, specifications, dimensions, and product requirements.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.
Good follow-up and relationship-management skills. Sales-oriented and target-driven approach.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Email, and basic CRM/sales reporting tools.
Willingness to travel for customer meetings and market visits.
