Job Title: Promo Writer for Performance Marketing Campaigns (US Market) Location: Remote (Occasional work meetups in Bangalore; candidates residing in Bangalore are a plus) Company Overview: We are a fast-growing audio-series platform offering compelling and immersive audio content. Our platform features audio series that are more than 100 hours long, and we run large-scale ad campaigns on Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube to drive app installs. We are looking for a talented promo writer for our performance marketing video content who can play a key role in developing and optimizing ad scripts that resonate with our target audience for the fantasy genre. Our mission is to give wings and wisdom to stories, transforming them into a strong entertainment package. Pocket FM has grown to 130 million listeners, spending an average of over 115 minutes every day, with total streaming on the app counting over 6.25 billion minutes monthly. Position Overview: As a Promo Writer, you will be responsible for working with video editors to create scripts for short-form (2 minutes) and long-form (30-40 minutes) video ads that can capture user attention, engage listeners, and drive conversions. Your work will involve crafting captivating scripts for our shows, which will be used as ads to bring more users to our app for those shows. You will collaborate closely with our business marketing teams to continuously iterate and optimize ad scripts based on performance metrics, ensuring high user retention, click-through rates, and a low CPI (Cost per Install). Your role requires a strong understanding of American audiences and their interests, social media platforms, and performance marketing strategies. Key Responsibilities: Develop Engaging Long-Short Form Video Ads: Write 2-minute (or 30/40-minute) ad scripts for Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube that resonate with the audience, captivate listeners, drive app installs, and promote our audio-series content. Identify varied themes to communicate a story and leverage them to create multiple high-retention scripts for maximum user engagement. Identify the most interesting parts of the shows story and create powerful hooks that generate incredibly high user intent to listen to more of the story. Data-Driven Approach and Iterative Content Optimization: Improve the effectiveness of your scripts by analyzing data from performance marketing campaigns. Participate in A/B testing to refine and identify the best-performing ad variations. Continuously refine and optimize content based on performance data, including metrics like CPI, retention, completion rates, and click-through rates. Audience-Centric Writing: Tailor content to American audiences, using data-driven insights to adjust tone, style, and messaging for maximum impact. Requirements: At least 3+ years of experience in either copywriting or content creation with a focus on performance marketing, social media ads, or long-form digital content. Proven track record of writing high-conversion ad content, especially for social media platforms. Experience in continuous iteration and optimizing content based on a strong understanding of performance data (CPI, completion rates, CTR, etc.). Native understanding of American audience behavior and cultural trends. Stay up-to-date with trends on Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube to create content that feels native to each platform while maintaining the brand voice. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with both long-form and short-form writing. Social media certifications are a plus.
