Project Engineer (Ignition SCADA)

Job Description

Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and create detailed design specifications (DDS) and test plans for the SCADA/MES project

Develop the application on the Ignition Vision/Perspective module.
Design and implement SQL queries and integrate them with various databases.
Integrate the SCADA application with third-party systems using industrial protocols such as OPC UA, MQTT and REST/SOAP APIs.
Provide technical support and training to clients.
Conduct system integration, testing and commissioning (Offsite/Onsite) activities to ensure smooth and successful deployment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in IT/Computer Science/ Electrical / Electronics /ETC /Instrumentation /IC /Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
At least 1 full Ignition SCADA/MES implementation project is required.
Hands-on experience with Ignition Vision, Perspective, Tag Historian, SQL Bridge, Reporting, Alarm Notifications and WebDev modules.
Strong proficiency in Python scripting and SQL query writing.
Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols.
Excellent problem-solving skills with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to travel to client sites, as required
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of Sepasoft modules such as OEE Downtime, Track Trace, Setting Changeover and Web Service will be an added advantage.
Knowledge of Cirrus Link modules such as MQTT Transmission, Engine and Distributor will be an added advantage.
