Develop and implement designs for new clothing products. Research market trends, customer preferences, and competitor products. Create sketches, technical drawings, and specifications for garments. Collaborate with merchandisers and product managers to establish production timelines. Select appropriate fabrics, trims, and accessories for designs. Conduct fittings and make necessary adjustments to prototypes or samples. Coordinate with patternmakers, sample makers, and manufacturers. Review and approve pre-production and production samples.
