Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager for our Environmental Consultancy division. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Environmental Management Plan (EMP) projects related to building construction and mining. As a Manager, you will oversee the operational aspects of the consultancy, ensuring smooth project execution, timely delivery, and high-quality standards. You will also lead a team, manage client relationships, and coordinate activities with regulatory bodies such as SEAC and SEIAA. Key Responsibilities: EIA/EMP Project Management: Handle Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Environmental Management Plan (EMP) projects, primarily in building construction and mining sectors. Develop and implement strategies to conduct EIA/EMP studies in compliance with environmental regulations. Prepare detailed reports, assessments, and documentation for EIA/EMP projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards. Regulatory Liaison and Coordination: Manage and coordinate activities with SEAC (State Environmental Impact Assessment Committee) and SEIAA (State Expert Appraisal Committee) committees. Oversee the preparation of necessary files, presentations, and documents for SEAC/SEIAA approvals. Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure timely and successful project approvals. Project Execution and Quality Control: Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the environmental consultancy firm. Ensure that project timelines are met and deliverables are of high quality, within budget constraints. Handle client communication, maintaining positive relationships and ensuring client satisfaction. Team Leadership and Development: Build, manage, and lead a high-performing team of environmental consultants. Maintain flexibility in managing work schedules to accommodate dynamic project needs. Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members. Operational Management: Oversee the operational efficiency of the consultancy firm, ensuring smooth execution of projects. Maintain documentation, project tracking systems, and reporting procedures. Ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and industry standards. Qualifications & Experience: Proven track record in managing EIA/EMP projects in the building construction and mining sectors. Minimum of 10 years of experience in the environmental consultancy field, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role. Strong managerial, operational, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and deliverables effectively. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Preferred Candidate Profile: Age: Between 35-40 years. Skills: Strong leadership and team management capabilities. Highly adaptable and dynamic, capable of responding to evolving project needs.
