Logistics Executive

Job Description

The Logistics Executive is responsible for managing and coordinating the storage, transportation, and delivery of goods. This includes ensuring cost-effective, efficient, and timely logistics operations while adhering to company policies, customer requirements, and relevant regulations. Key Responsibilities: A) STRATEGIC & OPERATIONAL ACTIVITIES, DISPATCH PLANNING, GOODS MOVEMENT, STOCK MAINTENANCE Strategic & Operational Activities Monitoring & maintaining work timing Maintaining daily MIS report Cost Control at depot Ensuring correct practices at depot as per company policy & instructions (Eg. FIFO method etc.) Ensuring correct goods storing & handling practices as per company policy & instructions Coordination between Production, PPC, Sales & Marketing Dept. 7 Checking of pending Sales orders, sales forecasting on daily basis B) Dispatch Planning Vehicle planning for dispatches as per the next day plan & Coordination with transporter Vehicle booking for dispatches as per the dispatch plan for next day. To resolve issues related to transporter bills. Keeping track & Problem solving related to dispatches. Keeping track & Problem solving related to transportation. Invoice approval C) Transportation Management: Coordinate and monitor inbound and outbound shipments. Negotiate with carriers and logistics providers for optimal rates and service quality. Track and ensure timely delivery of goods. D) Vendor & Supplier Coordination: Build and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and transport partners. Evaluate vendor performance to ensure quality and cost-efficiency. 5. Cost Management: Identify cost-saving opportunities in transportation, warehousing, and logistics operations. Monitor logistics budgets and minimize operational expenses. Requirements and Skills Bachelors degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field; additional certifications are a plus. Proven experience in logistics operations with a strong understanding of global supply chain dynamics. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Proficient in logistics software and technologies for efficient supply chain management. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
