Job Description

Linux (Debian/Ubuntu) installation and operation

Familiarity and fluency with Linux/Ubuntu command line

Knowledge of Ubuntu Linux internals, especially the boot process

Knowledge of the OS-level services that come by default in Linux and whitelisting services/processes

Modifying the Boot sequence, Setup and Configuration of Ubuntu Linux and rootfs

Experience in developing a customized variant of Linux from Debian/known base OS essentially by stripping off services and programs not required

Hardening the OS

Encryption of logical partitions and boot partitions using ubuntu native encryption (eg Luks) or any other encryption tool Must Have

Securing boot process, bootloaders (GRUB/LILO) and initrd (initramfs) Must Have

Knowledge on OS Kernel-level programming, developing Kernel integrity controls, developing Kernel aware applications Must Have

Knowledge on System Hardware/Network level components

Development of UI/frontend applications in the OS in C/Python language

OS Compliances

Integrating native applications and server-side applications along with performance management and optimization in the OS

Analytical Ability, Research and Development, POC and Problem Solving

(Laptop/Desktop)

Good with communication skills
