Position: Lead Design Engineer Process
Sub-Functional Area: Process Engineering
Experience Required: 1015 years
Qualification: Degree in Chemical Engineering

Job Purpose:
The role involves leading the Process Engineering team in reviewing and approving process engineering deliverables across the complete project lifecycle, including Basic Engineering, Detailed Engineering, commissioning, and start-up. The position also supports technology development projects, process design, commercial scale-up, and process optimization for refinery, petrochemical, and gas processing projects.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead review and approval of Process Engineering deliverables during Basic and Detailed Engineering phases
• Ensure compliance with local/international codes, standards, and design guidelines
• Develop and review Process Design Basis and Basic Engineering Packages
• Ensure process safety and reliability for all projects
• Support in-house technology development and revamp projects
• Analyze lab and pilot plant data for commercialization
• Coordinate with vendors, project teams, and R&D teams
• Conduct technical audits and value engineering exercises
• Develop standards, procedures, and team capability

Required Skills:
• Strong Process Design and Engineering expertise
• Experience in refinery, gas processing, and petrochemical technologies
• Preparation/review of BEDP, PFD, MSD, P&ID
• Hydraulic calculations, control valve sizing, PSV sizing
• Knowledge of HTRI, Aspen, UniSim, FlareNet, PipeNet, KORF
• Equipment datasheet review and process safety compliance
• Value engineering and optimization techniques

Preferred Experience:
• 10-14 years of site experience
