Job Description Sourcing /Buying/Merchandiser - Readymade Garments(kints,Wovens,Denims) Vendor sourcing and viewing whether he fits in Dmart working conditions. Price Negotiation and Costing - Offering the right product at the right price, keeping the optimum margin. Understanding locals trends and season cycles, market analysis, selecting styles, pattern and colours keeping in mind the customer and regional taste and trends. Vendor management Involves continuous communication, follow ups, co-ordinates with them to ensure all our processes with regard to taffetta, case lots, packing and assortment. Update him with any new requirement and ensures all the requirements are met properly,co ordinate for the process of collecting the finalized samples, reviews and finalizes the sample with all team members during sourcing Category Management - Engages with the store and execution team and makes them aware of new product launches and suggests display ideas . Inventory Control -Responsible for maintaining optimal level of inventory (i.e.not too high or not too low) Ensuring profitable growth for the Categories - engages with the store and execution team to know the performance of the product (i.e. in terms of product performance) Co-ordination with Stores and Replenishment Team To makes sure all order details are with them and also involves correction in planning if required, to ensure a right quantity flows to the DCs and store.
