Urgent job opening for Field Service Engineer at Mumbai / Pune / Hyderabad.

Role Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Field Service Engineer to join our Service Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, breakdown repair, and technical support of company equipment at customer sites and remotely. This role requires strong troubleshooting expertise, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to maximizing customer satisfaction and system uptime.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and validate company equipment at customer sites.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with company safety and technical standards.
• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, software, and networking issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective solutions.
• Maintain accurate and detailed service reports in the CRM/service management system.
• Provide on-site technical guidance and operational training to customers.
• Escalate unresolved technical issues to senior engineers with complete documentation.
• Coordinate with internal teams including Sales, Service, and Logistics to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Ensure high system uptime and customer satisfaction. Revenue & Business Support Responsibilities
• Promote and support Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) during customer visits.
• Identify opportunities for spare parts replacement, system upgrades, or performance improvements.
• Generate and share leads for new equipment sales, expansions, or modernization projects.
• Support service revenue growth through proactive customer engagement.

Skills & Experience Required

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Electronics / Electrical / Mechanical / Mechatronics or related field)
• 3+ years of field service or technical support experience preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
• Good communication, customer handling, and time management abilities
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical diagrams and use diagnostic tools
• Experience with scientific/laboratory equipment (freezers, CO incubators, shakers, BSC, centrifuges, etc.) is an added advantage
• Willingness to travel frequently for service visits, including occasional overnight stays • Availability to participate in on-call and after-hours support as required
