Job Title: Fashion Merchandiser cum Quality Assurance Ethnic Menswear & Womenswear Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fashion Merchandiser cum Quality Assurance professional to join our team specializing in Ethnic Menswear & Womenswear. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, aesthetic appeal, and timely production of garments such as Sherwanis, Kurtas, Waistcoats, and Lehengas. They will manage customization, sampling coordination, quality control, and merchandising while maintaining the highest standards in garment inspection and production. Key Responsibilities: Merchandising & Coordination: Collaborate with design and production teams to conceptualize, sample, and execute garment designs. Manage customization requests and ensure alignment with customer preferences and specifications. Oversee embroidery and embellishment processes, ensuring adherence to design standards. Quality Assurance: Inspect garments during production to ensure quality standards are met, focusing on issues such as: Unfinished raw edges Broken buttons or hooks Uneven stripes or plaids Puckers in seams Loose threads or stitches Incorrect packaging assortment Test strength of collar-stay fusions using a tensiometer to ensure durability. Examine fabric swatches to check for dye lot shade variations. Product Expertise: Maintain in-depth knowledge of ethnic garments, including Sherwanis, Kurtas, Waistcoats, and Lehengas. Provide input on fabric selection, embellishments, and design improvements. Quality Control Management: Identify defective garments or components and ensure they are sent back for rework. Collaborate with production teams to implement corrective measures to avoid recurring quality issues. Preferred Candidate Profile: Skills & Expertise: Should have minimum 2 years of experience in dealing with Hand Embroiders and Cutting Masters Expertise in ethnic wear, including Sherwanis, Kurtas, Waistcoats, and Lehengas. Proficient in handling embroidery, customization, and garment design processes. Familiarity with using a tensiometer and other quality testing tools. Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams. Availability: Candidates who has experience in ETHNIC WEAR (SHERWANIS, KURTAS, LENHENGAS, SAREES & WAISTCOATS) will be preferred Immediate or short notice availability is highly preferred.
