Job Summary: We are looking for a talented and creative Freelance T-shirt Designer to join our team on an as-needed basis. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for design trends and a passion for creating original and visually appealing artwork for t-shirts. You will collaborate with our creative team to bring fresh, innovative ideas to life, creating high-quality designs that resonate with our target audience. Role & responsibilities Create unique and eye-catching t-shirt designs that align with current trends, customer preferences, and brand values. Work with the team to understand the target audience and design specifications for each project. Prepare and deliver high-resolution files for printing (e.g., vector files, PNG, PSD). Follow design briefs and meet project deadlines. Revise and adjust designs based on client feedback. Stay up to date with design trends and adapt to changing customer preferences. Preferred candidate profile Proven experience in graphic design, specifically for apparel (T-shirt designs). Proficient in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDraw, or other design tools. Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and composition. Ability to work with both vector and raster formats. Creative, detail-oriented, and able to work under tight deadlines. A strong portfolio showcasing previous t-shirt designs or apparel-related projects. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams. Key Skills: 1.Graphic Design: Strong foundation in graphic design principles (e.g., layout, composition, color theory). Experience in creating vector-based designs for scalable, high-quality prints. 2.Proficiency in Design Software: Adobe Illustrator (essential for creating scalable vector designs). Adobe Photoshop (for raster image editing, photo manipulation, and mockups). CorelDraw (optional but beneficial for vector designs). Procreate or other illustration apps for digital drawing. 3.Typography: Expertise in selecting and manipulating fonts to create visually appealing text designs. Knowledge of custom lettering and hand-lettered designs. 3.Creative Thinking and Problem-Solving: Ability to brainstorm and generate fresh design ideas. Ability to adapt designs to fit brand identity, trends, and customer preferences. 4.Understanding of Print Processes: Knowledge of printing techniques (screen printing, DTG printing, sublimation). Familiarity with resolution requirements and color modes (RGB, CMYK). Ability to prepare print-ready files (vector files, high-res PNGs, etc.). 5.Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to ensure all designs are pixel-perfect and free of errors. Ability to spot design inconsistencies and make necessary revisions. 6.Trends Awareness: Keeping up with current design and fashion trends (e.g., pop culture, memes, vintage, minimalism). Understanding of different niche markets and target audience preferences (e.g., sports, humor, graphic art). 7.Time Management: Ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Self-motivated to work independently and efficiently without constant supervision. 8.Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with clients, managers, and other team members. Ability to understand client briefs and provide clear, concise feedback. 9.Portfolio Development: Ability to curate and maintain a professional portfolio that showcases a range of T-shirt designs and styles. Showcasing versatility in design work and the ability to adapt to various themes and target audiences. Adaptability: Ability to accept and implement feedback and make design adjustments accordingly. Flexibility to switch between various design styles based on project needs.
