Century Extrusions Ltd is looking for Draftsman / Die Designerto join our dynamic team and embark on a rewarding career journey Technical Drawing Creation: Develop detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics based on specifications, sketches, and requirements provided by engineers or clients Die Design: Design dies, molds, and tooling components used in metal stamping, casting, forging, or injection molding processes, ensuring precision, accuracy, and manufacturability CAD Software Utilization: Use computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or NX to create and modify technical drawings and 3D models of dies, tooling, and components Material Selection: Select appropriate materials, alloys, and coatings based on mechanical properties, durability, and application requirements for die and tooling components Tolerance Analysis: Perform tolerance analysis and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure parts and components meet design specifications and functional requirements Collaboration: Collaborate with engineers, designers, machinists, and production personnel to review designs, address design issues, and optimize manufacturing processes Documentation: Prepare and maintain documentation, including bill of materials (BOM), design revisions, engineering change orders (ECOs), and technical specifications related to die and tooling design Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks and inspections of prototypes, samples, and production parts to verify conformance to design specifications and quality standards Problem-Solving: Identify design problems, root causes of defects, and opportunities for design improvements, and propose solutions to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency Compliance and Safety: Ensure designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines governing tool and die making processes, materials handling, and equipment operation
