Data Engineer / web scraping engineer

Job Description

The primary goal of this role is to identify, extract, and enrich high-value prospect data from international exhibition participant lists. You will be responsible for building a clean, actionable database of decision-makers (Marketing Heads, Export Managers, Founders) who are exhibiting globally and require professional stall design and fabrication services.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Mining: Source and extract exhibitor lists from international trade show websites (e.g., Messe Frankfurt, Fiera Milano, Dubai World Trade Centre).
• Contact Discovery: Use tools like SalesQL, Apollo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to find direct email addresses and phone numbers of decision-makers.
• Lead Enrichment: Filter raw lists to identify companies that match Aars Designs profile (industry, booth size, country) and identify the most relevant designation for outreach.
• Automation & Scripting: Use Python to automate repetitive data collection tasks, scrape JavaScript-heavy directories, and clean large datasets quickly.
• Database Management: Maintain an organized CRM or Master Sheet, ensuring zero duplication and high data accuracy for the calling/emailing teams.

Required Skills & Tools

• Python (Preferred not mandatory): Basic to intermediate knowledge of Python for web scraping (BeautifulSoup, Selenium) and data manipulation (Pandas).
• Lead Gen Tools: Expertise in SalesQL, Lusha, Apollo, or similar contact-finding platforms.
• Search Mastery: Advanced Boolean search skills on LinkedIn and Google.
• Excel/Google Sheets: Expert level (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and data cleaning).
• Analytical Mindset: Ability to quickly identify the "Right Person" (e.g., Marketing Manager vs. HR) to ensure the highest conversion for the sales team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in lead generation for the International Exhibition/Trade Fair industry.
• Ability to handle large-scale data extraction projects with high accuracy.
