Cloud Engineer

Job Description

This role involves developing innovative software solutions and services utilizing cloud software development techniques. As a key member of the cloud engineering team, the responsibilities include designing, building, and managing cloud systems and their infrastructure. This encompasses software, services, and solutions engineered for flexibility, scalability, and resiliency to support both current and future business needs in an automated and repeatable manner. Responsibilities: -Works with the software engineering team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the organization. -Proven work experience in Docker/Kubernetes (image building, k8s schedule) -Plans, designs, and develops cloud-based applications. -Manages cloud environments in accordance with the organization s security guidelines. -Deploys and debugs cloud initiatives as needed in accordance with best practices throughout the software development lifecycle. -Partners with DevOps to develop tooling and infrastructure for cloud development and cloud operations use cases, with a focus on microservices deployment and distributed systems monitoring and fault analysis. -Executes job using Test Driven Development (TDD) approach, and supports continuous integration and continuous deployment patterns. -Develop processes for enforcing cloud governance, architecture, operating procedures, monitoring, and system standards. -Responds to incidents, owns them, drives them to completion, and participates in root cause analysis. -Solves difficult and complex problems with a fresh perspective, demonstrating good judgment in selecting creative solutions and managing projects independently. -Leads moderate to high complexity projects, delivering professionally written reports, and supports the realization of operational and strategic plans. -Experience in package, config, and deployment management via Helm. Preferred Certifications: (Anyone) -AWS cloud or GCP cloud
