Job Description

We are a well-established IATA-accredited freight forwarding and time-critical logistics company with offices across Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Delhi. We specialise in international air freight, On Board Courier (OBC), Next Flight Out (NFO), air charters and express courier solutions.

We are looking for an Assistant Manager - Air Freight to manage branch-level air freight operations, guide the operations team and ensure smooth execution of time-critical international shipments.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day air freight operations including OBC, NFO, charters and general air cargo
Guide and support branch operations staff with training, direction and day-to-day supervision
Ensure enquiries, pricing requests and customer confirmations are actioned within timelines
Coordinate with airlines, OBC partners, shippers, customs brokers and international agents
Monitor shipments from pickup to uplift, arrival and final delivery
Resolve customer complaints, operational issues and service escalations
Maintain strong relationships with airlines, airport authorities, customs brokers and vendors
Support business development and commercial coordination where required
Maintain DSRs, MIS reports, shipment records and compliance documentation
Develop and improve SOPs for operational efficiency and service quality

Essential Requirements:

4 to 8 years of experience in international freight forwarding, air cargo or express courier
Strong understanding of air import-export operations, pricing and airline coordination
Experience managing teams and resolving operational issues independently
Valid driving licence, own vehicle and valid passport preferred

Note: Specialists of Sea/Ocean and Surface freight are not eligible
