Job Description

Balancing patient accounts and taking payments for services rendered. Reviewing bills and claims for accurate information at dermatologic clinic. Entering data into the clinic's database. Handling incoming and outgoing email and physical mail. Maintaining and protecting employee payrolls. Maintaining all staff and patient files in the company's database. Preparing billing reports and other documents to provide to state or federal government agencies as needed. Extensively interacting with patients, physicians, policy representatives, and other people as necessary to collect payments at the clinic. Required and Desired Skills Accountants need strong math skills for dermatologic clinic. They also have the technical ability to work with both basic and advanced computer software programs. Accountants are detail oriented, analytical, organized, and able to communicate well in writing and verbally. In addition, health care accountants need solid interpersonal skills to work directly with their counterparts at insurance companies to facilitate billing issues. This is a desk job, requiring the ability to sit and focus for long periods of time.
