Job Description

Procurement and SCM Lead BESS PMC

The Procurement and SCM Lead BESS PMC will support supply chain monitoring, expediting, logistics coordination, and material readiness activities for utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System projects. The role is responsible for monitoring procurement status, equipment deliveries, logistics, storage, preservation, and critical spare-part availability.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Delivery Monitoring

• Track battery containers, racks, PCS, transformers, MV switchgear, HVAC, FSS, EMS/SCADA equipment, cables, auxiliaries, and mandatory spares.
• Monitor procurement status, manufacturing progress, and delivery schedules.
• Align required-on-site dates with installation and commissioning schedules.

Logistics & Material Management

• Monitor FAT release, dispatch readiness, transportation, receiving, storage, and preservation activities.
• Track equipment replacement actions and logistics constraints.
• Coordinate delivery priorities with construction and commissioning teams.

Supply Chain Risk Management

• Identify delivery delays, shortages, transit damages, preservation risks, and spare-part gaps.
• Monitor serial-number traceability and inventory readiness.
• Escalate supply-chain risks and mitigation requirements.

Reporting & Governance

• Coordinate procurement status reporting with Planning, QA/QC, Contracts, Stores, and Commissioning teams.
• Maintain delivery trackers and expediting reports.
• Support PMO supply-chain governance reviews.

Qualifications

Education

• B.E./B.Tech or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or Engineering.
• MBA / PG Diploma in Supply Chain Management preferred.

Experience

• 7-10 years of experience in procurement, logistics, supply chain, or equipment management for BESS, renewable energy, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing OEM package deliveries, logistics coordination, FAT release, and critical spares.

Certifications

• CSCP preferred.
• CPIM preferred.
• CPSM preferred.
• Procurement, Logistics, or Supply Chain Certifications desirable.
