Role & Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain approved quality samples for production reference
• Prepare calibration schedule for all measuring instruments and ensure timely calibration through NABL-accredited labs
• Conduct regular factory visits to monitor quality of raw materials, processes, and finished products
• Track and report BOQ-wise production status and readiness updates to the Production Manager
• Inspect and certify product quality before final dispatch from the factory
• Maintain proper records of in-process inspection and final inspection reports
• Conduct QA/QC training for shop floor teams on SOPs and processes such as welding, galvanizing, powder coating, epoxy, and enamel painting
• Perform NDT inspections including Dye Penetrant Test (DPT), Magnetic Particle Test (MPT), and hammer tests
• Carry out visual and dimensional inspections using tools like Vernier calipers, measuring tape, and DFT (Dry Film Thickness) meter
• Conduct periodic audits of manufacturing plants and identify non-conformances and improvement areas
• Recommend corrective and preventive actions to avoid repeat quality issues
• Visit fabrication and finishing vendors to monitor supplier performance and support continuous improvement
• Prepare monthly MIS reports on QA/QC activities for management review
• Implement and maintain ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS)
• Develop and execute Quality Assurance Plans including Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) and Material Test Plans (MTP)

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory)
• 6-10 years of experience in manufacturing / fabrication industry
• 3-5 years in fabrication/production engineering
• 3-5 years in QA/QC roles
• Certified ASNT Level II in DPT and MPT
• Certified Internal Auditor for ISO 9001:2015 QMS
• Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, welding, coating, and finishing systems
• Hands-on experience with inspection tools and NDT techniques
• Ability to handle vendor inspections and plant audits independently
• Good understanding of quality systems, documentation, and reporting
• Strong communication and coordination skills
