Job Description
Fortis Healthcare Ltd is looking for Fire Safety Officer to join our dynamic team and embark on a rewarding career journey- you will be a key member of our safety and compliance team, responsible for developing, implementing, and managing safety programs to ensure a safe and secure work environment
- You will play a critical role in fostering a culture of safety and adherence to regulatory requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Program Management:Develop, implement, and manage safety programs, policies, and procedures in line with industry best practices and legal requirements
- Continuously assess and improve safety measures to reduce workplace hazards
- Safety Compliance:Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations, codes, and standards
- Stay up to date with changes in safety laws and regulations and adapt policies accordingly
- Incident Reporting and Investigation:Establish procedures for reporting safety incidents and near misses
- Conduct thorough investigations of incidents to determine root causes and implement preventive measures
- Safety Training:Develop and deliver safety training programs to employees, contractors, and site visitors
- Monitor and track training compliance and effectiveness
- Emergency Preparedness:Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, first-aid protocols, and disaster recovery plans
- Conduct drills and exercises to test emergency preparedness
- Safety Audits and Inspections:Perform routine safety audits and inspections to identify and rectify potential hazards
- Ensure corrective actions are taken to address safety deficiencies
- Safety Communication:Promote a culture of safety by facilitating safety meetings, communicating safety updates, and encouraging employees to actively participate in safety initiatives
- PPE Management:Manage and ensure the availability and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all employees and contractors
- Documentation and Reporting:Maintain comprehensive safety records, incident reports, and safety-related documentation
- Generate reports and analyze safety metrics to provide insights and recommendations to management
- Team Collaboration:Collaborate with department heads, managers, and safety committees to foster a collective commitment to safety
- Lead cross-functional teams in safety improvement projects
