Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Magento Developer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing our eCommerce platforms with a primary focus on Magento. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code that aligns with the strategic goals of our business. This role requires a blend of technical skills, creativity, and problem-solving ability, and is ideal for a candidate who is passionate about delivering high-performance online shopping experiences. Your Role and Responsibilities Magento Development : Lead the development and customization of Magento eCommerce sites, including Magento 2, by building new modules, improving existing ones, and ensuring seamless functionality across all devices. Front-End and Back-End Development : Collaborate on both front-end and back-end development tasks, working with designers and other developers to create responsive, user-friendly interfaces and efficient back-end processes. Integration and API Management : Integrate third-party APIs and plugins, ensuring compatibility and enhancing the overall functionality of the Magento platform. Performance Optimization : Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in the application, conducting regular audits and implementing best practices to ensure optimal speed and scalability. Quality Assurance : Implement and manage testing protocols to ensure that all changes are bug-free and maintain high code quality. Conduct unit and integration testing, debugging, and troubleshooting as needed. Documentation and Support : Document code changes and development processes. Provide ongoing maintenance and support for deployed features, assisting other team members in understanding and managing Magento-based applications. Collaboration : Work closely with the project management team to ensure project timelines are met, provide regular updates, and address any technical challenges. Required Technical and Professional Expertise Magento Development : Advanced knowledge of Magento and Magento 2, including the configuration, customization, and extension of both Community and Enterprise editions. Programming Languages : Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL, along with familiarity with common front-end frameworks such as React or Angular. API and Integration : Experience with RESTful API and SOAP API integration, third-party integrations, and module development. Database Management : Strong skills in MySQL and experience with database architecture and data modeling specific to eCommerce platforms. Performance Optimization : Knowledge of caching mechanisms and Magento-specific performance tools like Varnish, Redis, and Elasticsearch. Version Control and Deployment : Familiarity with Git for source control and CI/CD pipelines for efficient code deployment. Problem Solving and Analytical Skills : Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and identify efficient solutions, with a detail-oriented approach to ensure error-free code and reliable site functionality. Communication and Collaboration : Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including non-technical stakeholders. Qualification & Experience Required Educational Qualification : Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Magento certifications (such as Adobe Certified Expert) are highly preferred. Experience : Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in Magento development, with a strong portfolio demonstrating successful projects. Additional Preferences : Knowledge of eCommerce domain practices, familiarity with SEO/SEM, and experience with cloud-based hosting environments such as AWS or Azure will be advantageous.
