Role Overview

We are looking for a Flavorist Assistant to support the Flavorist in developing, modifying, and evaluating flavors for food and beverage applications.
The role involves hands-on lab work, compounding, maintaining documentation, and supporting internal trials.
This is a technical, lab-based role requiring precision, discipline, and strong sensory awareness.

Key Responsibilities

Compounding & Sample Preparation -Weigh and compound flavor formulations accurately as per instructions from the Flavorist -Prepare trial samples for internal and customer evaluations -Maintain strict adherence to formulation confidentiality
Lab Management -Maintain raw material inventory and ensure proper storage -Ensure cleanliness and organization of the flavor lab -Calibrate and maintain weighing balances and lab equipment
Documentation & Records -Record formulations, revisions, and trial notes accurately -Maintain batch sheets and sample logs -Coordinate with regulatory/QC teams for documentation support
Sensory & Evaluation Support -Assist in sensory evaluation sessions -Prepare application samples for tasting panels -Maintain reference standards and library samples
Coordination -Work closely with Flavorists, Application Technologists, and Production -Support scale-up trials and pilot batches when required
