Job Description

Role & responsibilities

* To establish technical procedures (Standard Operating Procedures) and management functions pertaining to repairs and utilities.

* To provide technical advice and assistance concerning improvements of the hospital plant. Including repairs.

* To co-ordinate matters pertaining to major construction.

* To establish priority for repair and utility projects and planning. Programming and accompany.

* To ensure Uninterrupted and Smooth functioning of the Utility Services such as Electric Power, Compressed Air, Vacuum, Water, Air conditioning etc.

* To monitor daily Power / Water Consumption, Power Factor and keep the Maximum Demand within the limit.

* To provide Engineering Services of Mechanical / Carpenter and Painting to all departments of the Hospital as required.

* To upkeep, repair and Maintenance of All Electrical and Utility equipments.

* To prepare Daily / Weekly / Monthly reports, Preventive Maintenance (PM) Planner and ensure work to be done as per the schedule.

* Procure materials and keep Inventory in details.

* Visit different areas of hospital, (more particularly patient floors/ICUs) and communicate with HODs/Nursing In-charge and hospital staff to find out if they have any problems related to Engineering or Non-engineering Services.

* Co-ordinate with Contractor / Vendors / Suppliers / Service Providers for repair and Maintenance of equipments such as Air Conditioning , Chiller Plant , All AHU working condition, operating parameters, Electrical Consumption, Monitoring and action to reduce it.

* PMS quality report, OT temperature and humidity data.

B.E./Diploma (Electrical / Electronic)
