Job Description

• Identify and evaluate potential vendors and suppliers of construction materials, tools, and services.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and Stores to understand material requirements and avoid shortages.
• Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules to secure the best value for the company.
• Obtain and review quotations, prepare comparative statements, and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Ensure compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and approved vendor lists.
• Create, issue, and manage purchase orders and contracts in line with project requirements.
• Track orders, ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to construction sites, and coordinate with warehouse staff.
• Inspect incoming materials and products to ensure they meet quality standards and project specifications.
• Monitor stock levels, manage inventory records, and reorder supplies as needed to avoid delays or shortages.
• Work within established budgets, prepare cost analysis reports, and identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Maintain positive working relationships with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, invoices, delivery information, and supplier details.
• Address issues such as incorrect or damaged deliveries, order discrepancies, and supplier performance issues.
• Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships while ensuring ethical procurement practices.
  

Desired Candidate Profile :-

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Analytical skills to compare pricing and evaluate suppliers.
• Attention to detail for managing records and contracts.
• Knowledge of construction materials and the construction industry.
• Proficiency with procurement software and MS Office applications.
• Good knowledge of MSP, AutoCAD, Power Point, MS excel and MS word.
• Familiarity with vendor management and construction project procurement cycles.
