Job Description

Job Summary -

This role is designed for high-aptitude individuals to participate in an accelerated training program to learn technical drawing concepts and develop composition skills utilizing computer-based drafting tools, such as AutoCAD and Revit. Leaning and skills development will be focused on targeted solutions, primarily Renewables (Solar), Grid (Substation, OH Transmission, and Distribution) and EV Charging. This program includes instructor and computer led office and role-based training, solution introductory training (solution overview and typical deliverables) and on the job assignments. Upon successful completion of the approximate 3-week program, the professional will transition to an Engineering Technician 1 level position.

Role & responsibilities

Participation in, and successful completion of all aspects of the accelerator training program. Training curriculum includes, but is not limited to:

Focused, Role-Based Training, comprised of general office skills/behaviors, Microsoft Office, technical drawing composition, and role specific design concepts/tolls, such as AutoCad Basics and Introduction to Revit
Solution Introduction Training, comprised of solution overviews, technician workflows and deliverables, and additional targeted solution design skills and knowledge, which may include Renewables (Solar), Grid (T&D), and EV charging.
Proven success in on initial entry level projects assignments, with enhanced support structure/continued training opportunities.

Preferred candidate profile

Diploma with 0 to 6 months of experience
