Elevator Technician (B License Holder)

Department: Technical / Maintenance / Installation

Location: Irungattukottai

Experience Required:

Minimum 10 years of experience in Elevator Installation, Servicing, and Maintenance

License Requirement: Valid B-Class Elevator License

Job Summary:

The Elevator Technician will be responsible for the installation, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of elevator systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation. The role involves conducting regular inspections, identifying faults, performing repairs, and ensuring all work complies with safety regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out installation and commissioning of new elevators and escalators as per design specifications.

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on existing elevator systems to ensure safe operation.

Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and perform necessary repairs efficiently.

Conduct routine safety inspections and testing in compliance with statutory and company safety norms.

Maintain detailed service records and maintenance reports.

Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and clients for project scheduling and progress updates.

Ensure proper calibration and adjustment of elevator control systems.

Assist in modernization or upgrade projects of old elevator systems.

Train junior technicians or helpers on safe and efficient work practices.

Follow all health, safety, and quality protocols at all times.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Valid B-Class Elevator Technician License.

Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in elevator installation, service, and maintenance.

Strong knowledge of electrical control systems, wiring diagrams, and mechanical assemblies.

Ability to troubleshoot faults independently and deliver timely solutions.

Familiarity with various elevator brands and control systems.

Excellent understanding of safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and teamwork ability.

Preferred:

Experience in AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) handling.

Ability to work on both high-rise and low-rise elevator systems.

Knowledge of modernization and upgrade techniques for older elevators.

Good communication skills and client-handling experience.
