About the Role

We are looking for an experienced PHP Lead Developer to oversee the design, development, and implementation of high-quality web applications. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in PHP frameworks, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to guide a team of developers toward successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of PHP developers through all stages of development from requirement analysis to deployment.
  
• Architect, design, and develop scalable web applications using modern PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter, etc.).
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (UI/UX, DevOps, QA, Product) to deliver robust and maintainable solutions.
  
• Review and optimize code for performance, scalability, and security.
  
• Mentor junior developers and conduct regular code reviews.
  
• Participate in sprint planning, technical discussions, and project estimations.
  
• Ensure best practices in version control (Git), testing, and documentation.
  
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and propose improvements in architecture and processes.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  
• 6+ years of hands-on experience in PHP development, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role.
  
• Strong expertise in Laravel or Symfony (knowledge of other frameworks is a plus).
  
• Proficiency in MySQL and experience with database design and optimization.
  
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, Microservices Architecture, and MVC patterns.
  
• Experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and frameworks like Vue.js or React (preferred).
  
• Strong understanding of OOP, design patterns, and software architecture principles.
  
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is an advantage.
  
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  

Nice-to-Have

• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
  
• Exposure to DevOps tools and processes.
  
• Knowledge of unit testing and test-driven development (TDD).
  
• Contribution to open-source projects or a public GitHub portfolio
