Job Title: HR Generalist Payroll & HR Operations
Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka
Grade: Senior Associate/AM
Employment Type: Full-time
Reporting To: CFO
About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented HR Generalist to manage core HR operations with a strong focus on payroll processing. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working across the full employee lifecycle. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate payroll, maintaining HRMS data integrity, and supporting day-to-day HR functions for Valueattics Reinsurance Limited.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Management
Process monthly payroll accurately and on time, including salary components, deductions, reimbursements, and statutory compliance (PF, ESI, PT, TDS).
Coordinate with finance and external payroll vendors (if any) for reconciliations and filings.
Provisions for payments related to salaries and other payout headers.
Handle employee queries related to salary, payslips, and taxation.HRMS & Data Management
Maintain and update employee records in the HRMS system.
Ensure data accuracy across all HR platforms and generate reports as needed.
Support HR analytics and dashboards for leadership reviews.Employee Lifecycle Management
Manage onboarding and offboarding processes including documentation, induction, and exit formalities.
Maintain employee files and ensure compliance with internal policies and labor laws.
Support performance management, confirmation, and promotion processes.Background Verification (BGV)
Coordinate and manage background verification for new hires through internal or external partners.
Track and maintain BGV status reports and ensure timely closures.
Escalate discrepancies and support resolution in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.Generalist HR Support
Assist in policy implementation and employee communication.
Support employee engagement initiatives and internal events.
Coordinate with external consultants for compliance audits and labor law updates.Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
35 years of experience in HR operations with hands-on payroll processing.
Proficiency in HRMS platforms and MS Excel.
Strong understanding of Indian labor laws and statutory compliance.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
