Role & responsibilities

Responsibilities

1. Lead end-to-end analytics and BI initiatives, from business problem definition and requirements gathering through solution delivery and adoption.
2. Design, develop, and optimize scalable Power BI and/or Tableau dashboards, reporting frameworks, and executive-level analytics solutions.
3. Perform advanced exploratory analysis, segmentation, trend analysis, and statistical analysis to identify business drivers, opportunities, and risks.
4. Define and maintain KPI logic, analytical methodologies, data definitions, and reporting standards to improve consistency and trust in analytics.
5. Lead dashboard and data-model optimization to improve performance, usability, scalability, and user adoption.
6. Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, product managers, and business stakeholders to develop reliable and scalable analytical solutions.
7. Mentor junior and intermediate analysts, review analytical deliverables, and promote analytics best practices across the team.
8. Present insights, recommendations, and business implications to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.

Must Have Skills

• Advanced SQL proficiency, including complex joins, CTEs, window functions, aggregations, subqueries, and query optimization.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Power BI and/or Tableau, including dashboard design, data visualization, and performance optimization.
  • Good understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, data warehouses/lakehouses, and modern analytics platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate business objectives into KPIs and analytical solutions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, data storytelling, and presentation skills.
  • Experience independently leading analytics initiatives and mentoring analysts.

Good to have Skills

• Python/Pandas for data analysis, automation, and advanced analytical workflows.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Azure, or AWS.
  • Experience with Git/GitHub and basic CI/CD practices for analytics/BI solutions.
  • Experience with statistical analysis and experimentation, including A/B testing, regression, forecasting, segmentation, or predictive analytics.
  • Experience working with large-scale datasets and optimizing analytical workloads.
  AI / GenAI
  • Experience using Generative AI / LLM tools for SQL generation, data exploration, insight generation, documentation, or analytics automation.
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering and responsible AI usage in analytics.
  • Exposure to AI-assisted BI, natural-language analytics, or automated insight generation.
