Job Description

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and ensuring that production goals are met efficiently and safely. This role involves managing staff, optimizing production processes, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Role & responsibilities Production management: Plan, organize, and control production schedules and workflows. Develop work instructions and train technicians on manufacturing the product Work with design engineers to update designs to improve quality, cycle time, and customer satisfaction Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve productivity. Quality Assurance: Ensure that products meet customer quality standards and specifications. Implement a quality first culture and mindset in the production team. Interface with customer account managers to identify/resolve problems and implement solutions to stabilize product Collaborate with all stakeholders to communicate and implement engineering change orders and sustain products with cost reduction and yield improvements Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions. Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility. Budget and Cost Management: Develop and manage the production budget, monitoring expenses and resource allocation. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. Prepare reports on production performance, costs, and variances. Staff Management: Supervise and lead production teams, providing training and development. Conduct performance evaluations and address any personnel issues. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Preferred candidate profile Bachelors degree in metallurgy, engineering, or manufacturing. Knowledge and experience with joining processes like welding, brazing etc for all types of steel preferred Understanding of quality standards involved in cleanroom manufacturing are highly desirable Proven experience in a production or manufacturing management role. NPI experience (Milestone Lifecycle Process), understanding the process for introducing new product designs into production release. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
