Job Description
Role & responsibilities
1. Develop and participate in EHSS engagement activities
2. Support wide range of Health, Safety and Environmental aspects
3. Scan for emerging relevant legislation and support the team in updated legal registers
4. Assist with planning and conducting Safety, Security and Environment audits and action tracking
from audits.
5. EHS&S document management, incident tracking and record keeping.
EHS Management:
1. Assists the Head of Safety and Security in investigating accidents or other safety/security
related incidents.
2. Ensure the Induction of newly joined person and yearly re-induction for all the employees.
3. Conduct Safety and Security inspections/audits of department and operates a formal
system to follow up on inspections on Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment.
4. Ensures that Safety equipment are in good working order, tested and maintained regularly,
and that repairs made timely and appropriately.
5. Performance reviews to ensure that each team member works towards clearly defined team
goals
6. Conducting quarterly Cluster Safety Training for all newly inducted Employees.5. Assists Safety department during meetings on Safety processes.
To lead the certification audit through
1. Implementation of Bureau Veritas - School Health & Safety Management System in all
assigned Schools in the Region and ensure Green Rating.
2. Guidance, assistance and monitoring progress of audit preparation.
To ensure safety adherence by
1. Implementing companies’ safety & security policies
2. Conducting Pre-Audit Training of all School sites.
3. Ensure timely delivery of data profiles in accordance with established production schedules
4. Ensuring continuity of Bureau Veritas-SHSM processes for all assigned sites for Re-Certification
after two Years.
To maintain MIS of all safety processes and maintain data base of critical safety
equipment's/items like Fire fighting system, CCTV Cameras, GPS, First Aid for all sites and work
towards fulfilling deficiencies identified with Business Manager and also conduct training of
employees and blue collar workers.
Country Security Management:
1. Deliver security assurance at site level/country level where applicable.
2. Ensuring efficient physical security services by third parties.
3. Plan the security budget and other expenses.
4. Carry out loss control analysis and suggest improvements to the existing processes.
5. Carry out the assessment of access control and theft prevention.
6. Conduct threat assessment as needed with support from operations team.
7. Drive/assist with security awareness programs.
8. Advise site/unit colleagues on personal security matters.
9. Provide immediate support to colleagues. Including business travelers.
10. Lead/advice on security matters for site minor works.
11. Implement/assist on security equipments.
12. Crisis management: Provide security advice and expertise to the crisis team, as required by
crisis leader.
13. Coordinate security matters and advises Security supervisor as required.
14. Evaluate potential risks to personnel or site and advises Head of Safety and Security.
15. Assist regional teams with filing and follow-up of FIR with Police/Local body.
16. Preparation of monthly/quarterly/yearly reports.
