JOB DETAILS
One of our clients, a reputed hospital based in Mumbai, is looking out for a General Surgeon. The brief job responsibilities include:
1. Examine patients and make diagnoses to determine the need for surgery.
2. Review patient medical history and plan the best procedure for treatment.
3. Evaluate and advise patients on the risk involved with having surgery.
4. Perform surgical procedures to prevent or correct injury, disease, deformities and patient function while adhering to regulatory and ethical protocols.
5. Follow established surgical techniques during surgery.
6. Prescribe preoperative and postoperative treatment and procedures.
7. Ensure sterility in the operating room, and all equipment and instruments.
8. Direct and coordinate activities of hospital staff for proper patient care.
9. Oversee all treatment prior to and post-surgery, and identify associated risks.
10. Plan and execute disease/illness prevention and health promotion programs.
11. Coordinate follow up meetings with patients and monitor health condition after surgery or treatment.
12. Conduct research to develop and test surgical techniques in order to improve procedures and surgery.
