Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled CNC Lathe Machine Operator/Programmer with hands-on experience in CNC turning and programming. The candidate will be responsible for developing and optimizing CNC programs, ensuring high-quality production with minimal rejection, and maintaining process stability in batch production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize CNC lathe programs (Fanuc/Siemens controllers)
• Reduce cycle time without compromising quality and tolerances
• Achieve first-off component approval with minimal corrections
• Ensure dimensional accuracy (threads, tapers, sealing surfaces)
• Select appropriate tooling (inserts, holders) and optimize cutting parameters
• Minimize tool wear and control tooling costs
• Interpret engineering drawings and convert them into machining processes
• Handle threading standards (BSP, BSPT, Metric, UNF)
• Maintain consistent production output and reduce rejection rates
• Support machine operators and reduce setup time for better utilization

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong CNC lathe programming (G-code and M-code) with hands-on experience in Fanuc controllers
• Expertise in threading (BSP, BSPT, Metric, UNF) and cutting parameters (speed, feed, depth)
• Experience in tool offset setting, correction, and tooling selection
• Proficient in using measuring instruments (micrometer, vernier, thread gauges)
• ITI (Turner/Machinist) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or CNC certification

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in cycle time optimization and mass production
• Exposure to bar feeders and batch production
• Knowledge of hydraulic fittings or precision components
• Basic CAD knowledge for drawing interpretation
• Understanding of GD&T

• Strong problem-solving ability under production pressure
• Ownership mindset with proactive approach
• Ability to train and guide machine operators
• Good documentation and process discipline

Experience Required:

• 4-8 years in CNC turning (lathe-specific)
• Hands-on programming experience
• Experience in batch production and repeat jobs
• Exposure to tight tolerance components
