We are hiring for one of India's leading IT & consulting organizations for the position of Pharmacovigilance IT consultant Role.

Summary

A Pharmacovigilance (PV) IT Consultant is a specialized professional who bridges drug safety science with technology. They design, implement, and maintain IT systems (such as safety databases) to collect, analyze, and report adverse drug events, ensuring compliance with global regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, EMA) while optimizing PV processes through digital transformation and AI automation.

Key Skills

• Minimum 15 years of experience in end-to-end Pharmacovigilance and Clinical strategy, driving digital transformation and innovation across Life Sciences with minimum 3 years of team leading experience
• Drives PV and Clinical solutions with focus on emerging technologies, client engagement, and global delivery
• Expert in Pharmacovigilance strategy, digital transformation, and practice development within Life Sciences organizations
• Leads clinical and drug safety initiatives, enabling innovation, partner ecosystem growth, and scalable solutions
• IT Graduate with MCA/B tech/ M tech/BE with Pharmacovigilance domain exposure

Key Responsibilities

• Define the agenda and future Pharmacovigilance (PV) roadmap for global Life Sciences companies, aligned with industry direction, leadership, and innovation
• Drive and contribute to large-scale business and technology transformation programs across the Life Sciences value chain
• Lead end-to-end solutioning in PV/Safety business processes with supporting IT solutions
• Provide functional and technology leadership including thought leadership, proactive pitches, proposal bids, PoVs, practice development, offerings creation, marketing collateral, and white papers in the PV/Life Sciences domain
• Develop and manage client relationships through networks; lead client interactions including presentations, consulting, and solutioning on emerging trends, business drivers, and IT solutions
• Collaborate with and lead partnerships with PV technology OEM partners
• Build partnerships and alliances with leading technology vendors in the Life Sciences Clinical Development space
• Define and guide development of solution frameworks across Clinical and Pharmacovigilance functional areas and business processes
• Develop use cases and PoCs leveraging emerging technologies such as Gen AI, Agentic AI, IoT, Big Data, Blockchain, and AR/VR within Life Sciences Clinical Research
• Mentor and train junior consultants in PV/Clinical domains and contribute to practice building
• Strategic mindset with strong execution capabilities
• Skilled in engaging and influencing senior client leadership
