Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Automation SQL DBA with 4+ years of experience in managing, automating, and optimizing database environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automating routine SQL database tasks, optimizing performance, ensuring high availability, and ensuring data integrity. As an Automation SQL DBA, you will play a critical role in automating database maintenance, backups, deployments, and performance tuning to ensure that our database systems are running efficiently and reliably.

Key Responsibilities:

Automate and manage SQL Server database administration tasks including backups, restores, migrations, monitoring, and patching.
Develop and maintain scripts for SQL Server automation using tools like PowerShell , T-SQL , and SQLCMD .
Build, maintain, and optimize database automation frameworks to streamline database management and reduce manual intervention.
Design and implement automated database provisioning and scaling solutions in cloud environments (e.g., Azure SQL Database , AWS RDS ).
Monitor and analyze database performance, identifying bottlenecks and implementing automated performance tuning.
Implement automated database change management and deployment processes.
Ensure database security by automating vulnerability scanning, applying patches, and managing access controls.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to automate database-related tasks in CI/CD pipelines .
Design and implement disaster recovery and high availability automation solutions.
Perform regular database health checks and take corrective actions where necessary, using automated monitoring tools.
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, both in production and development environments.
Develop and maintain automated reporting for database performance and usage statistics.
Stay current with new SQL Server and automation technologies and continuously improve the DBA automation processes.
