Description:

Functions as a technical specialist or in a lead role. Under general direction, develops and applies advanced engineering techniques, concepts and approaches to complex engineering problems. May provide technical guidance over a group or supervise engineering staff on projects of low to medium complexity. May be responsible for developing, validating, and presenting specialist/technical output.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Engineering Standards:

• Continues to learn and remains current on departmental design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes and Black and Veatch policies, procedures and best practices
• Applies to assigned tasks as appropriate
• May assist in developing, maintaining and updating engineering standards.
• May provide technical guidance to others regarding projects and disciplines.

Quality/Continuous Improvement:

• Continues developing knowledge and complies with Black and Veatch quality program relative to assigned tasks
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with Black & Veatch QMS
• Attends/supports quality audits
• Provides guidance and direction to others from cross-projects within discipline
• Supports continuous improvement and change management efforts

Engineering Production: Performs following independently or with minimum supervision:-

• Prepares and verifies complex engineering deliverables for larger or multiple projects
• Performs complex research and develops recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection
• Collects, assimilates, and manages data for engineering work
• Prepares complex engineering calculations following standard methods and principles
• Understands and manages budget, schedule, and quality requirements
• Reviews lower level engineering work or assignments
• May be responsible for one or more of the following: leading larger production teams; coordinating multiple discipline activity; and serving as the responsible charge for a project

Preferred candidate profile
Total years of experience : 9 -18 Years

Minimum:

• Academic Qualifications: bachelors degree in civil engineering from a recognized institute
• Total years of experience: 9-18 Years
• Experience in Civil Site Design for Stormwater runoff management, Drainage Systems, Grading, and Road design is must.
• Familiar with AutoCAD, Civil 3D
• In-depth knowledge of Civil Design codes, standard and best practices

Preferred:

• Masters degree from a recognized institute
• Professional work experience in Civil Site design engineering on Conventional Power Project and/or Oil & Gas/BESS projects
• Experience in Proposals and Estimation

Education : bachelors degree in civil engineering. M.tech will be an added advantage.
