Job Title: Senior Software Developer Streaming, APIs & Kafka

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Developer with strong expertise in streaming platforms, API development, and Apache Kafka. The ideal candidate will play a key role in building scalable, resilient, and secure event-driven systems aligned with enterprise engineering standards.

You will collaborate closely with architects, product teams, and cross-functional stakeholders while driving DevOps, observability, and automation best practices across the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

1. Streaming & Event-Driven Development

• Design and develop streaming and event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka
• Architect high-performance, fault-tolerant messaging systems

2. API Development

• Design, develop, and maintain robust REST and asynchronous APIs
• Ensure APIs follow enterprise and security standards

3. Distributed Systems & Scalability

• Build highly available and scalable distributed systems
• Contribute to microservices architecture and cloud-native solutions

4. DevOps & Automation

• Implement DevOps best practices including CI/CD pipelines
• Work with containers and cloud environments
• Promote automation across development and deployment processes

5. Observability & Monitoring

• Implement observability and telemetry using OpenTelemetry
• Integrate monitoring solutions with Elasticsearch and Kibana
• Manage logs, metrics, and distributed tracing for operational visibility

6. Collaboration & Leadership

• Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship within the team
• Work closely with architecture and product stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Senior Software Developer
• Strong hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and streaming architectures
• Experience designing and developing APIs (REST and asynchronous)
• Solid knowledge of DevOps practices (CI/CD, containers, cloud environments)
• Practical experience with observability and telemetry platforms, especially:
  
• OpenTelemetry
• Elasticsearch
• Kibana
• Experience building microservices and distributed systems
• Proficiency in one or more backend languages such as:
  
• Java
• Scala
• Kotlin

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Knowledge of resilience, performance tuning, and security engineering
• Experience working in large-scale or regulated enterprise environments
